Description
12/12/25- For sale is a very rare flight control joystick from a German Bf-109 fighter plane. The joystick is made mainly from aluminum with a textured rubber grip and plastic coated wiring. Most of the aluminum is exposed metal and was either never painted or was later sanded/reworked. All four buttons are functional, including the button cover/flip trigger. The small wiring box has been painted with a backwards swastika and the designation "ME-109", most likely by the GI that captured the stick. There is an information plate on the front of the stick detailing model number, serial number, factory ordnance code designation, and the wartime code for the manufacturer. The manufacture code ngk corresponds to Luftfahrt-Apparatebau GmbH in Berlin. Based on the available information, this stick is estimated to have been made in 1944. The stick also comes with a certificate of authenticity from The Ruptured Duck and a packet of photos of the same model of flight stick from an online gallery. Overall in excellent condition!
