Description
3/3/26- For sale is a BlackJack Mamba folding knife made in Seki City, Japan. This rare, extra-large lock-back folder is in outstanding condition, approximately 98% mint. It has never been used and remains untouched, with only very minor surface scratches on the stainless steel from light display and handling by the previous owner. Even without the original box, this is one of the finest examples of the XL Mamba currently on the market.
This vintage model was produced in Seki City during BlackJack’s pre-Effingham era (1987 to early 1990s), before operations moved to Illinois in 1991. The blade is crafted from AUS-8A high carbon stainless steel in a satin finish, featuring a swedged spear point stiletto-style design. The tang is stamped with the BlackJack logo and marked “MAMBA JAPAN.” It includes dual textured thumb studs for smooth one-handed opening and solid brass liners for durability.
The handle features satin-finished stainless steel with black Delrin inlays. Delrin (acetyl resin/POM) is known for its toughness, rigidity, low friction, and resistance to wear and chemicals, making it an excellent, durable alternative to traditional handle materials like bone or wood. This knife has a substantial, heavy-duty feel and is built to last.
