SOLD - blc 8x60 U-Boat Kommandant Glas Binoculars (48830)

Description

7/29/25 - These are a rare example of German 8x60 U-Boat Kommandant Glas Binoculars that were made by blc which was the German government code for manufacturer Carl Zeiss Jena. These binoculars have their original factory paint mostly intact. There is some moderate paint chipping especially around the eyepieces on both sides and some freckles of chipping on the body of the binoculars as well as the base rings on both sides. The lenses are very clear and the binoculars can be opened and closed easily. The covers over the lenses are able to be manipulated and closed as necessary as well. There is also a leather neck strap which has a very nice leather patina and the rubber eyepiece cover is also intact on the binoculars and works properly. Right side stamped "8x60", "48830", and "blc".
