09/02/26 - For sale is a US Bridesburg Model 1863 converted to a single-shot breechloader using the Needham trapdoor conversion. The rifle is in good shape for its age, with heavy patina and tarnish on the metal. There are light prickling of surface corrosion but nothing very deep. The stock shows similar wear with many dings and handling marks. The bore is somewhat bright with good visible rifling. The surface shows shallow craters of pitting throughout. The trapdoor retention is loose when the hammer is locked back, so it can swing open when tilted.
