Description
11/24/25 - For sale is a British India Pattern Brown Bess made in 1839. The musket is worn to bare metal with light surface pitting on the barrel. The barrel has been coated with a clear lacquer-like finish. There is a crown 39 stamped at the upper tang. The stock has been lightly sanded but free of cracks. There is a ~3 inch chip missing on the right side where the ramrod meets the body of the stock. There is a THS stamped on the left side near the wrist. The bore is dark. There is some play in the frizon when it is closed. The hammer also has some play when locked back.
