Description
4/9/26- For sale is the German Mothers' Cross in bronze. The bronze grade was the lowest grade available of the award and was granted to any German mother who had at least four children. The award was part of the Nazi effort to increase the population of ethnic Germans. The front has a swastika and the words "Der Deutschen Mutter" or "To the German Mother". The back bears an engraving "16 Dezember 1938" and a reproduction of Hitler's signature. The cross has mild patina on the front and back and one or two small chips to the white enamel. The attached ribbon looks aged and slightly discolored so it is likely the original ribbon. Overall in good condition.
