Description

2/12/26- For sale is a cut 1917 receiver for the Hotchkiss 1914 machine gun. There are no moving mechanical parts, so just the two solid metal sides of the main receiver are present. One side is stamped with "No. 27816" and "1917", while the other side is stamped "Mitrailleuse Automatique Hotchkiss Brevetee S.G.D.G. Caliber 8 m/m". Some of the bolts are marked "816" which is a matched serial to the rest of the receiver. The receiver itself has dirt, patina, and some light spots of rust although no serious structural damage. The two pieces align well but the sawing left a gap of around 1 or 2 mm between the pieces. It will perfectly fit a brass Hotchkiss feed block. Overall in very good condition.
