Description
6/17/26- For sale is an original deactivated German S-mine from WW2. Popularly known as the "Bouncing Betty", these mines were designed to propel themselves from the ground before detonating to do maximum damage to the exposed enemy leg and lower torso. The mine consists of the explosive mine warhead and a hollow cannister to allow it to propel itself upwards. There is mild wear and patina across all pieces but no deep rust or major dents. The mine body is empty, with NO explosive material. The outer lining has mixed shrapnel, including round bearings and jagged sections of cut heavy gauge wire. The top of the mine has two fuses inserted into the detonator body. The fuses are stamped ckh41 and bbm41. The detonator body is stamped brb42. Overall in excellent condition and a great display piece.
