Description
07/08/26 - For sale is a Remington Model 1903A4 sniper made in 1943. The rifle has a nicely aged phosphate finish on the receiver and barrel. The bolt, magazine, trigger guard, and barrel bands retain their original bluing. The bolt retains the bulk of its finish while other parts show loss. The rifle sits in an original C Stock with a boxed FJA stamp on the left side. The ordnance wheel is very faint and barely visible. There is a significant repair on the wrist, trying to secure two cracks going up each side of the wrist, about 3" in length. There are 3 brass dowels inserted through the bottom of the wrist to secure the crack. The Circle P stamp looks to have been ground off when these dowels were ground smooth. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but there are some corrosion specks about 2" from the muzzle. The barrel is marked RA 3-43. The M73B1 scope is in great shape. The lens is clear, and the reticle is sharp.
