Description
7/21/26 - This is a very clean Geroco-made Italian reproduction of the Colt Walker / Model U.S.M.R. 1847 percussion revolver, chambered in .44 caliber. The left barrel flat is marked “Made in Italy / GEROCO,” with “Cal .44” visible on the barrel, “US / 1847” on the frame, and the cylinder roll-marked “MODEL U.S.M.R.” and “PATENT No 544.” The revolver is all matching, with the serial stamped on the frame/trigger guard area, barrel assembly, and butt strap.
The revolver retains strong blue on the barrel and cylinder, with light handling marks, a faint cylinder turn line, and minor finish loss around the cylinder stop/bolt notches and high-contact areas. The case-colored frame and loading lever show visible color variation with mild handling wear, while the brass trigger guard has light age toning and small scattered marks. The wood grips are clean overall, showing only small surface marks and no visible cracks or major chips. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling and minor signs of use. This is a black powder firearm, so no licensing is required for purchase.
