Description
9/24/26 - One of the rarest and most requested Walthers we've ever offered, this is an original NSKK-issued Walther PPK from 1939. We could only locate record of a few known, original examples reported to be in the United States (with a couple more in Europe). The left side of the slide features the iconic NSKK eagle, which required a different slide variation as the "Mod PPK" marking is shifted left from standard examples to leave space for the NSKK mark (as with RZM marked examples). Slide has the matching serial scratched inside (last three digits 161). The pistol is also marked 'M 67' on either side of the eagle, which stands for Motorstandarte 67, located in Dortmund in Westfallen. The original blue rates at 90+% with most finish loss on either side of the muzzle, with additional bluing loss near the ejection port and on the trigger guard. Good bore with minor frost and freckling in some grooves. Excellent grip with no cracks or chips. Banner magazine has a bend in the baseplate. Good mechanically. Our consignor inherited this set, and said the accompanying CZ holster was brought back with the gun so it will remain included in the listing.
