Description
10/10/25- For sale is a late 1800s volunteer firefighter's helmet. The helmet is constructed in the same style and with the same materials as a military pickelhaube, reflecting the military spirit and uniform trends of Germany at the time. The exterior is made from several pieces of hardened, dyed leather. The exterior is in very good condition, with no major wear or damage. The interior of the helmet has the original leather liner. All flaps are present and intact, along with the string to keep them in place. The chin strap is present but has come detached at one side. The emblem at the front of the helmet identifies it as belonging to a volunteer fire unit in the town of Aggsback. Overall in very good condition.
