2/6/26- For sale is a German Reich Sports Leistungsbuch, or a record book for the National Sports Proficiency Badge. Like nearly everything else in Nazi Germany, youth sports programs were intended to develop young people into Nazi believers who were physically fit enough to become soldiers. This book has the attached photo of the young boy on the inside cover and his year of birth is listed as 1918, meaning he would have been 15 at the beginning of the Nazi era and likely served in WW2 later on. The back page is filled out, indicating the sports badge was earned in late 1936. Light bending and natural discoloration of the paper. Overall in excellent condition.
