Description
8/26/26 - Here we have a Model 1899 Prussian Officer Sword for sale. The sword is in decent overall condition. The handle has most of its bronze finish intact, however, there is some wear and patina due to age.The leather strap on the handle itself is worn due to contact with the user's hand. The blade was manufactured by Weyersberg as indicated by a maker's mark on the blade near the crossguard. The blade is also marked "Deutscher Offizier Verein Berlin" which translates to German Officer's Club- Berlin. This organization was known to have supply stores in which officers could purchase many goods including edged weapons. The blade has a nice mirror finish with some wear at the point of the blade. The blade is still very sharp. The scabbard appears to be nickel-plated and has some patina due to age.
