SOLD - Matching Walther G.41 - 1943 mfg

08/28/26 - For sale is a nice Walther G.41 made in 1943. The G.41 was Germany's first mass-produced attempt at a Semi-auto rifle in WW2. The German Military had strict guidelines for what they wanted on their rifle. The rifle could not have any external moving parts, no gas ports into the barrel, and be able to be used as a traditional bolt-action rifle if the semi-auto system fails. Mauser would follow these guidelines to make the G.41(M), but Walther would go against these guidelines and create the G.41(W). The Military would end up adopting the Walther version with slight changes. 

This example is in excellent condition and has a nice, deep bluing throughout. There's light wear on the surface but no pitting or corrosion. The stock has some light wear with some scuffing. There is a repair behind the tang on the right of the wrist about 3" in length. The bore is bright with good rifling but the surface is starting to frost over. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt carrier, bolt, firing pin carrier, both flapper locks, trigger guard, magazine, stock, gas trap sleeve & cap. The cleaning rod is absent. Comes with an M1884/98 K98 bayonet made by Jos Corts. Blade has a nice aged bluing with some surface corrosion and oxidation freckles. The scabbard looks to be from an Ersatz bayonet and is not original to this blade. 

Note: The Recoil Recouperator pack is absent in the stock. This part resets the Oprod of the gas trap under spring tension. The rifle still fires, but the op rod will be loose when the bolt is locked back.
