Description
6/2/26 - This is minty and scarce Colt Police Positive “Pequeño” export model, manufactured in 1934 and chambered in .32 Police CTG. This example has a 5" barrel, factory nickel finish, black hard-rubber Colt grips, and comes with its matching-numbered Colt box. The left side of the barrel is marked “POLICE POSITIVE .32 POLICE CTG.”, with Colt patent/address markings on top and serial number “230707” observed on the crane. The known serial range for these Pequeño export revolvers is generally cited in the 226,000-237,000 range, putting this gun squarely in the desirable late-production group. The Pequeño, meaning “little one” in Spanish, was Colt’s export-market continuation of the .32 caliber Model B Police Positive, reportedly assembled as a “2nd Quality” internal model to merchandise remaining parts after regular .32 Police Positive production slowed. Most were sold into South and Central America, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and some U.S. channels, with additional documented shipments to Thailand and early WWII-era British purchasing channels. This example rates about 98%, retaining nearly all of its factory nickel finish, with only a tiny spot of flaking/oxidation on the left side of the frame, a few light scattered handling marks, a very faint cylinder turn line. Original grips are in excellent shape and fit flush. Timing, lockup, and trigger pull in both single and double action are mechanically excellent, and the bore is mint.
