Description
02/19/26 - For sale is a Sparksbrook Lee Enfield Mk1 made in 1897 that was converted into a MK1 CLLE (Charger Loading Lee Enfield) by the Royal Navy. The Royal Navy would convert their MK1 Lee Enfield and Lee Metfords to accept the newer Mk7 ammunition being adopted by the Army. These rifles would receive new rear sights and have a charger bridge installed. The receiver has a well aged bluing iwth freckling of brown patina. The barrel shows more finish loss and fading to a grey. The stock and handguard are in great shape with minor scuffs and wear. There are signs of old sanding. There is a splice on the front of the forend. The bolt and receiver have matching numbers. The bore is fairly bright with strong rifling. The lands are bright but the grooves are darkening.
