SOLD - Shortened German Army Ordnance Officer Sword

10/28/25- For sale is a shortened German army officer's sword. The hilt and handguard are all correct for this type of sword. The crossguard has a serial number as well as a Waffenamt 253 stamp. There is also a very nice portepee knot which is likely a later replacement. The sword has been significantly shortened. Standard swords of this type are around 31 inches but this one only has a blade length of 10.5 inches. The end of the blade has been nicely shaped so it is not a rough cut, maybe indicating a repair after a break. The blade has some patina and a bit of oxidation but no deep scrapes or damage. Overall in very good condition.
