Description

10/28/25- For sale is a link of the anchor chain from German submarine U-505. U-505 was captured at sea by the Allies in 1944 and was returned to the United States as a war trophy. U-505 is currently on display in Chicago. These chain links were sold at the museum gift shop throughout the 1960s in both full-link and half-link sizes. This link is painted silver, has U-505 engraved on the surface, and comes on a small display stand that has a small tag identifying it as coming from U-505. Overall in good condition.
