Description
2/17/26 - This is a very rare, original gold presentation Iraqi Tariq pistol from the Iran War era. Modeled after the Beretta Model 70, these have been attributed as presentation items for high-ranking officers and dignitaries. We had three separate translations done on the slide legend, and received three different answers but roughly the Arabic legend on the left reads "Tariq - 7.65mm Version - Iraq". One translation also had mention of "General Infantry". The pistol is in excellent condition with minor flaking on the underside of the slide but 95+% of the original gold wash remains, and it even retains the original gold-washed mag. Excellent grips show no cracks or chips, and feature the General Tariq ibn Ziyad's profile on opposing medallions on the pistols grips. General Tariq was the conqueror of Visigoth Spain in 711 AD. Strong, shiny bore.
