2/16/26- For sale is a nice example of a WW2 era Japanese Type 95 officer's sword. The blade is machine made and very clean, with very minimal signs of patina or wear. The blade is serialized 106387. The blade still has a reasonable edge and no modern sharpening. The handle is cast aluminum that is painted to look like the traditional silk wrapping of a samurai sword. Some of the paint is worn off, especially along the high points. There are two Japanese arsenal markings on the handle. The scabbard is painted aluminum with some signs of wear and paint loss but no deep scrapes or dents. The scabbard is also serialized 106387, matched to the blade. Overall in excellent condition and a nice matched set.
