Description
6/4/25 - This is a great example of a WW2 Japanese Type 98 Sword. This sword has a beautiful factory made blade with a stunning temper line. This sword was made in the Seki Arsenal during WW2, making this a factory made, not a handmade blade. Seki Arsenal did employ swordsmiths, but the swords produced were manufactured using machines, instead of the traditional Japanese handmade process. This blade comes with proper WW2 handle construction for a Type 98 sword. However, the scabbard on this blade is a post-war replacement and thus the locking mechanism on the handle does not function with this scabbard. This sword also comes with a post-war reproduction leather scabbard wrap and handle cover. The edge on this blade is still sharp, and has barely noticeable tiny edge chips half way up the blade.
