Description
10/15/25 - This is a WWII German Luftwaffe FL23885 cockpit chronograph clock. This example is a 5th version (circa 1942–1945) manufactured by Junghans. It features a 36-hour aircraft timepiece with black dial, luminous hands and numerals, and a black-painted aluminum case, powered by the nickel-plated J30BZ movement and fitted to aircraft such as the Me109, Me110, Me163, Me209, Ju87, Ju88, He162, and FW190. It winds at the 6 o’clock crown, sets time by pulling the 5 o’clock lever while turning the crown. The chronograph starts, stops, and resets with the pusher below the crown. Incredibly, this clock is still fully functional and in great overall condition, with a few small rust flecks at the dial perimeter and scattered surface scuffs, minor paint loss, and handling marks consistent with honest use and age, plus a couple of barely visible face marks. The reverse serial number remains clear despite light pitting and scratchy wear in the surrounding area
