SOLD - Spreewerk P.38 - CZ-46 Czech rework #1583

3/23/17 - For you "odd ball" collectors, this is one you want to take a look at.  How about an AC 43 - but Spreewerke proofed P.38 - left over after the war.  Reworked by the Czech's. one thing that makes this P.38 unique is that the AC on the slide indicates that it was made at the Belgian FN factory. The top of the barrel has the Czech lion.  Also the right side of slide has a Czech proof as well as the Eagle 88.  Left trigger guard has E and Czech lion "peened" off.  Right side trigger guard is 46 marked - the year is was reworked.  It has a cog hammer from 1945.  All numbers match, but it was renumbered or in some cases, first numbered when it was reworked, post war.   It has nice Walther style grips and a Walther proofed magazine that was post war numbered to match. I don't know a lot about these guns but I know that even though they are post war assembly they are desired by collectors. Oh, and just in case that is not odd enough for you... it has an FNH eagle 76 marked barrel.  It has an early Walther Eagle 359 magazine. The bore shows wear from use and enough frosting that I would call it a 6 out of 10.  Only a few thousand made.  No import marks
