10/12/26 - For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in 1940. The rifle has a bright phosphate finish overall from refurbishment, with light scuffing on the surface. The stock is in good condition with light scratches on the surface and no cracks or breaks. There is a faint Circle P stamp on the wrist. The bore is bright with good rifling, but there is visible wear at the muzzle. The muzzle erosion rating is 6.5, and throat erosion is 4. The barrel is marked SA 1-44. There is an import mark on the left side of the barrel. The rifle is not parts correct. It comes with a modern nylon sling. An early 1940 Springfield M1 Garand, refurbished with a bright phosphate finish.
