4/16/25 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle equipped with the ramrod bayonet. The rifle shows its age with patina on the metal. The barrel has lost the bulk of its blued finish. The trapdoor has a hint of its case colored finish under the patina. The stock shows plenty of dings and nicks. There is a crack on the left side between the rear receiver screw and the side of the receiver. The right side also has a crack about 1 inch in length behind the lock plate. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling but there's some visible pitting at the muzzle.
