Description
8/20/25 - The Steyr Model GB is a large-frame Austrian 9mm pistol produced in the late 1970s–80s, notable for its innovative gas-delayed blowback system (“Gas Bremse”) that reduced recoil and enhanced accuracy. It featured an 18-round double-stack magazine—among the highest capacities of its era—along with a 5.3" barrel and durable all-steel construction with polygonal rifling. Originally designed for Austrian and U.S. military trials, it lost out to the Glock 17 and Beretta M9 but earned a reputation for reliability and smooth shooting. With only about 15,000–20,000 made, the GB is a scarce and desirable Cold War–era collectible. This one is matching and has retained about 90% of its finish. There are a couple of spots of wear on the left side of the slide and some areas of minor discoloration here and there. Fitted with black plastic grips and comes with two magazines. Excellent bore.
