Description
6/22/26 - From the collection of Tom Whiteman. Will include a COA. This is an absolutely stunning example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It has the proper "GHD" inspection initials, United States Property marking, and a cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. It also has a correct Colt barrel with a small "F" under the lug. The gun has retained essentially all of its parkerized finish with just a few very light surface scuffs here and there. Fitted with correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a period-correct "R" marked magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout (likely from storage).
