Description
5/23/25 - This is a unique and fairly scarce Mauser Model 71 that was converted to a 12 GA shotgun. During the WWI era, companies were converting useable M71's into shotguns and sold on the commercial market. See last picture of a 1911 advertisement. This gun is a bolt action, single shot chambered in 12 gauge. The 29" barrel has a clean, shiny bore. Most of the metal has great bluing showing minor age spotting, but no rust or corrosion. Beautiful wood furniture showing a past repair at the wrist area of the stock. It is very solid and secure. Smooth action. No FFL required. Use for black powder loads. Not intended for modern day ammunition.Specifications
