Description

11/30/23 - This is an original Colt SAA,1st Generation revolver, chambered in .38 WCF. It has a 4.75" barrel, featuring ivory grips. Overall, the gun is in very good condition for its age. Most of the original finish has minor wear in spots and there are a few areas of flaking nickel around the muzzle. It has a nice patina and there are light roll marks on the cylinder. The action is tight and the timing is good. Cylinder lock up is good with minor wiggling. There is good rifling in the bore with some pitting and rates about 6/10. The back strap and loading gate have different numbers, so they were most likely replaced sometime in the past. All other parts match. The ivory grips show some age cracking on the bottom, but they are tight and secure.
