Description

6/18/26- For sale is a nice traditionally made Japanese sword in WW2 sword fittings. The blade tang is signed and an independent expert has estimated that the blade dates from roughly the 1630s. The tang markings translate to Fujiwara Daido Naofusa Nyudo, a well-known smith from roughly 1620-1640. The blade is intact with very light wear and no patina, rust, or edge chips. The handle is traditionally made with textured leather and a silk wrapping. The rest of the sword fittings are WW2 era, including the metal pommel cap with ring and the metal scabbard. There is some moderate wear lower on the scabbard but no serious damage. Overall in excellent condition.
