Description
11/14/19 - This is a very nice example of a rare transitional Commercial Colt 1911, made in 1922. This particular gun is scarce because it was made right before Colt's transition from the 1911 to the 1911A1. Overall, this pistol is in nice condition. Although the gun has retained most of its finish, there is a fair amount of wear, especially on the straps and around the muzzle. We would rate the finish to be around 75-80%. The bluing is original to the gun and, from what we can tell, has not been touched up. The gun has the original wooden grip panels. The slide is numbered to the frame (see photos). The gun is fully functional. The bore is great - strong rifling, 8/10.Specifications
