Description
11/6/25- For sale is a Turkish/Ottoman sword bayonet for the Martini-Peabody rifle. Unable to purchase British rifles, the Ottomans contracted with American manufacturers to make essentially a cloned Martini-Henry rifle for Ottoman use, including these very large sword bayonets. The blade has the distinctive Turkish yatagan shape. There is moderate patina on the blade but no chipping or evidence of rust. There is a small S on one side of the blade. The handle is intact with minimal wear and no cracks. The spring loaded stud for attaching and detaching from the bayonet lug is missing. Overall in good condition.
