7/20/23 - This is an Enfield Martini-Henry Mk IV rifle issued to the British military in 1886. This rifle was part of a discovery of antique firearms in the royal palace of Nepal. This Pattern ÄòCÄô is the long handle variation which greatly enhanced the ejection of the spent cartridges. Approximately 100,000 Pattern C Mk IV Martini-HenrysÄô were produced. Enfield maker stamped on the left side along with the date of 1886. Proof stamped throughout. Original finish has a beautiful patina that has aged well, with only minor pitting in a few small areas. Stock showÄôs honest use wear with typical dings and dents. There is a minor crack on the bottom in front of the trigger guard assembly. Bore rates a solid 8 of 10 with no pitting. Action is smooth and tight and is fully functional. This rifle comes complete with a Mark III Sword bayonet with a steel fitted leather scabbard. No FFL required.Specifications
