Description
11/4/25- For sale is an 1850 pattern US Foot Officer's Sword. The blade has heavy darkening and patina, with some of the original etchings visible underneath. The manufacturer marking likely indicates manufacture in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The blade has numerous small chips and one more noticeable chip. The blade is slightly bent. The handguard has wear and patina on the brass fittings but the wire wrapped grip is intact and nice. There is a modern reproduction portepee knot. The scabbard is complete with all fittings. The fittings have patina and wear but are complete and intact. There are two spots of notable bending in the leather scabbard but no tears. Overall fair condition.
