Description
9/9/26 - This is an original Colt M1917 revolver issued to the US military during WWI. All matching with the proper military acceptance proofs and "United States Property" marking. The Colt Pony logo on the left side of the frame is a very light strike. There is what looks like a stamped rack or unit number on the underside of the barrel, "8124". It has retained roughly 85% of its original military blue. The majority of the finish loss comes in the form of spotty wear on the grip straps, but there is also an area of noticeable wear, oxidation, and pitting on the cylinder. Fitted with period-correct wood grips that are noticeably worn around the edges and don't fit the metal perfectly. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
