US M1 Combat Helmet- Painted Interior Shell

7/22/25 - The following is a U.S. M1 combat helmet with some added paint on the interior shell/helmet liner. The metal exterior shell of the helmet has most of its original olive drab paint still intact. The metal has a few dents on  the front brim and on the left side around the dome and crown. There is chipping of the paint and areas of rust, most significant of which is on the dome and on the front brim. The interior of the metal exterior shell is likewise heavily rusted on the brim. The exterior of the helmet liner appears to have some of the original factory paint, along with some post-war paint on the front and right side helmet and the paint is heavily chipped. The interior of the liner is very clean with the full chinstrap and canvas liner with leather band in place.
