10/21/19 - This is an original Korean War Era U.S. Army M4 Carbine bayonet with original M8A1 scabbard. Nicely marked "U.S. M4 / CONETTA" on the blade side of the cross guard. Manufactured by Conetta Manufacturing Company of Stamford, Conn. Excellent condition and completely original. Scabbard is complete with leg lanyard still in place. Excellent condition, clean blade with original phosphate finish. Zero rust or post-manufacture sharpening that we can see. Blade shows very minor scabbard wear. Grips are the Korean War era black phenol type, and they are in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. Guaranteed original and authentic.
