Description
9/15/26 - For sale is a very nice example of a Kriegsmarine Luger holster manufactured by Lederwarenwerk Curt Vogel in 1939. The leather on this holster is in excellent condition and has remained sturdy, yet pliable. The original finish on this holster is in good condition with only minor loss primarily existing as high-edge wear. The front strap shows some finish loss from normal use. There is also some loss towards the top of the belt loops on the back of the holster. On the front of the holster towards the bottom of the magazine pouch, there is a small finish scuff that appears to go beyond the outer layer, but no further. The rest of the holster shows some light scuffs and blemishes, though nothing penetrating the outer layer. The back of the holster in between the belt loops bears the "Lederwarenwerk / Curt Vogel / Cottbus / 1939" maker's mark. Below the mark, it holds the proper "WaA100" inspection proof, and below that is the Kriegsmarine Eagle/M. Underneath the lid of the holster towards the opening at the top, there is a stamp that reads "2827" which could apply to a possible unit or serial number to the firearm that used to be in the holster. The stitching on the holster is all present and shows no signs of any pulling or missing stitches. Overall this is a very nice Kriegsmarine holster in excellent functional condition.
