Description
8/2/26 - Here we have a German K98 Dress Bayonet manufactured by E. Pack & Söhne with its original frog and portepee. The bayonet is in excellent condition. The pommel shows some hints of oxidative wear. The black plastic grips are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. The leather washer is still in place at the hilt. The blade is also in very nice condition with visible cross grain and minimal wear. The iconic Pack logo is crisply stamped onto the ricasso. The scabbard is not bent or dented. Some small bits of the black enamel paint are chipped off but the overwhelming majority of the paint is still present. The brown leather frog is soft and supple, with much of its wear being on the edges or corners of the leather. This bayonet also has an original Army NCO portepee attached to the frog. The portepee shows some wear and light fraying due to age.
