07/31/2024 - For sale is a Mosin Nagant M44 carbine made at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1946. The M44 was the next evolution of the Mosin Nagant 91/30 by shortening the barrel for tighter fighting conditions and a folding bayonet for close quarters. This rifle had undergone Soviet refurbishment and has a very deep black finish applied on the metal. The stock is normally finished with shellac but this example has been refinished with boiled linseed oil. The bore is very bright with great rifling. The parts were renumbered to match during refurbishment and all parts match.
