Description
9/29/26 - This is a very nice example of a late-war Mauser P.38 magazine. The finish on the tube of this magazine is in very nice shape with very minimal finish loss. The magazine shows light high-edge wear on the tube, primarily near the spine, near the follower lip, and on the front of the magazine. The spine just above the military inspection proof has a small spot of finish loss, as well as at the very bottom of the spine. The right side of the magazine tube shows some very light patina around the middle of the tube. The left side of the tube is stamped "P.38v". The spine of the magazine bears the correct WaA135 military inspection proof towards the follower. The baseplate on this magazine is in very nice shape with light high-edge wear and two small spots of finish loss near the back of the baseplate. The follower has smooth travel throughout the tube and the spring has remained strong yet responsive. These magazines correspond with Mauser byf44 and svw45 code P.38s. Overall an excellent Mauser P.38 magazine.
