Description
7/28/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare WWI Luger Snail Drum unloading tool manufactured by Bing. These tools are scarce, with this example being a police arsenal modified production. This is indicated by the small hole near the base of the arm, which is from when this device was a loading tool. The Prussian Police were authorized to manufacture unloading tools from speed loading tools that were broken or defective. The arm is attached to the base which fits over a snail drum magazine. The base is maker stamped and "B/N" by Bing. Nice original finish throughout, with minimal signs of finish loss on a majority of the unloader. There is some light wear on the front and back of the base, most likely from the tool being held while being utilized. The handle of the tool shows some light handling wear as well. The push button release has a tight tension bar with smooth travel. The bullet removing arm operates as intended with a tight spring, and bears a crown proof on the right side of the lever. The handle has a smooth travel with no restrictions. Fully functional.
