Description
7/6/22 - This is a very rare and excellent H&R Reising Model 60 semiautomatic rifle.¬ This rifle was the semiautomatic variant of the Model 50, and were typically used by the Marines for training, guard duty and other non-combat roles.¬ This variant was only manufactured from 1941-1945, and given the early serial number of this rifle, was produced towards the earlier side of that range.¬ There were only about 3,000 of this model produced during the war, compared to over 120,000 of the submachine guns.¬ And of that production number, about ~2000 were parkerized.¬ This rifle has hardly any wear, just a few minor surface scuffs on the receiver and some wear on the trigger guard. The stock is in terrific shape with no issues. The listing includes an original sling that is 1943 dated and has a E-S Co. maker mark. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but there is some freckling through the grooves. NOTE: We previously sold this rifle but the top piece of the rear sight broke in transit. Our gunsmith replaced it and the original piece is included but the leaf has been replaced.Specifications
