Description
7/7/26 - This is a very rare and early Mauser Bolo from the early 1900's. It is a rare six-shot variant with a large ring hammer. It also has a "Von Lengerke & Detmold New York" retailer marking on the left side of the frame. VL&D was a prominent New York outfitter known for selling high-end sporting arms in the early 20th century. This one is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips. The finish rates roughly 85-90%. And while there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable spotty patina and light pitting covering the whole gun. Some rust under the grip panels. The grips show honest handling wear on both sides. The condition of the bore is poor - the rifling is completely worn with pitting throughout.
