Very Rare, Matching Mauser G.41(M) - 1942 mfg

03/13/26 - For sale is a very rare G.41(M) semi auto rifle made by Mauser in 1942. These rifles were a part of the trials for a semi-automatic rifle for the German Military during WW2. The German military had specific requirements for the rifle, like having the ergonomics of a K98k, no external moving parts, the ability to use the rifle as a bolt action, and no holes drilled into the barrel for a gas system. Mauser would follow these requirements, while Walther would only follow some. In the end, the military would move forward with the Walther Design and adopt the rifle as the G.41. A production order of 15,000 of the Mauser-designed rifles would be made and used on the frontlines, but many would not survive. 

This example looks to have been hardly used or undergone a lot of combat. The metal retains a nice military bluing with light freckling of oxidation and patina. The stock shows shallow surface scuffs and scratches. No cracks or breaks. Bottom of the buttstock is marked with the serial number and a WaA135 stamp. Also another WaA135 Waffenamt on the wrist. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The internals of the rifle still have a layer of packing grease and the movement of the parts are a bit sluggish.
