Description
10/30/26 - This is a very nice example of an incredibly rare WaA100 proofed PPK holster. Believed to be produced by Akah, these holsters bear almost no markings or stamps other than the scarce Waffenamt hidden below the closure strap. The leather on this light brown holster is in very nice condition and has remained sturdy yet pliable throughout the years. This holster has very little color loss on the entirety of the body. The lid shows some darkening on the right side where the edge of the magazine baseplate would sit, with some small, light scuffing just above it. There are some very light striations near the button knob on the left side of the lid, though these have led to very minimal color loss. The top of the lid shows some signs of light finish cracking, though none of these seem to have penetrated beyond the exterior layer. There is also a small cut running front to back on the left side of the top (roughly 1/2" in length) that does penetrate through to the interior. The front closure strap shows signs of wear and cracking, primarily around the button hole, however these cracks do not seem to penetrate beyond the exterior layer and there are no signs of rips or tears. Below the closure strap is a clean, legible "Eagle/WaA100" Waffenamt. The "hinge" of the front flap has some finish cracking, primarily near the top of the opening, however there are no signs of any rips or tears. The magazine pouch on the front of the holster has maintained a great structure with no signs of collapsing. The bottom of the magazine pouch shows some darkening of the leather from wear and some light scuffing, though very minimal finish loss. Just above the magazine pouch, there is a dark line from the edge of the baseplate resting against the leather. The muzzle end of the holster is in good shape. There are signs of wear on the front and back of this area, though there is sparse color loss. There is some loss on the front of the muzzle and some thinning on the back of it. The front of the muzzle area does show a crack roughly 1/2" in length that has penetrated to the inside of the holster. Aside from the muzzle area, there is almost no finish loss or blemishes on the rear of the holster, other than a small area on the bottom of the belt loop. All of the stitching on this holster is present with no signs of cut or missing stitches. The bottom of the belt loop on the left side does have some stitches that have pulled through the outer leather, though the stitches themselves are still present. The interior of the leather on this holster is in great condition, though it does appear that there was some wear on the inside where the model or caliber designation would normally be stamped. Overall this is a very nice example of a very rare holster.
