Description
3/2/26 - This is a nice example of a very rare Walther PP that was manufactured in 1939 and sent to Persia as part of a contract order, potentially for either the police or military. This is one of only about 2,000 produced. The pistol has a Farsi legend and markings on left side slide and frame, and the Walther legend on the right side. These pistols were also chambered in the more rare and desirable 9mm. The gun's finish rates at about 93% with almost all of the wear coming from the back strap. The front strap also shows a hint of thinning. We believe this gun has gone through some sort of refurbishment that is common with the Persian contract PP's. The gun is fitted with period-correct black bakelite grips. The bore is bright with deep rifling. De-cocker is functional.
