Description
10/29/26 - This is a nice example of a Vietnam War-era Flight Control Stick Grip Assembly from a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. The grip on this flight stick has multiple buttons and a selector switch, as well as a trigger on the back of the assembly. All of the buttons still move smoothly and provide an audible click when engaged, though we cannot confirm full functionality. The corner on the bottom hand rest has broken off and the bottom attachment nut is missing. The bottom thumb button on the grip is missing the top, though is still mostly present. The plastic grip shows some signs of surface blemishes and what appear to be a few areas of paint transfer, however it has retained a majority of its original black finish and does not show any detrimental structural or mechanical damage. The bottom left side of the grip assembly is stamped "SWITCH ASSY // TYPE B-8-A // S/N 5200-875200 // D/N 53C4719 // C-56679". Overall this is a fascinating piece of aviation history in nice condition.
