7/21/26 - This is a very nice example of a Third Variation Walther Model 7, chambered in 6.35mm. About 57,000 of these pistols were made from 1915-1919. The Walther Model 7 became a popular pistol because of its compact dimensions and its product qualities. Officers and high-ranking military employees had to procure their service pistols privately. For them the Walther Model 7 was a popular defense weapon. This one is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. It comes as a rig with two proper magazines and a period-correct leather holster. It has retained about 97% of its original finish with general high edge wear. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there is some freckling and frosting on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct horn grips - a couple of small cracks on the left side. Minty bore.
